Chandigarh, December 14– Haryana Environment and Climate Change Department is organising a 3-day Writeshop on Project Formulation: Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation from December 17 to 19, 2018 at Hotel Shivalik View, here. The Writeshop will be attended by 40 officers of different departments of the State Government.
While giving this information, a spokesman of the Department said that Additional Chief Secretary, Environment and Climate Change Department, Mrs Dheera Khandelwal would inaugurate this Writeshop.
He said that during three days, the participants would be trained to prepare projects related to Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation activities related to most vulnerable areas of the state as per State Action Plan on Climate Change to take timely actions to combat the effects of climate change. The officers of the State Government would also be trained to take hand on training on the projects related to adaptation and mitigation according to the National Adaptive Fund for Climate Change and Green Climate Fund guidelines.
He said that Expert faculty from the Bankers Institute of Rural Development (Climate Change Cell), Luck0now would impart 3-day intensive training to the participants to enhance their knowledge on the subject. The programme is targeting to come up with some excellent projects on the resilient, adaptive measures which are required to be taken up by the departments so that timely actions could be proposed for effective solutions to combat the catastrophic effects of climate change, he added.
