Gita Gyan Sansthanam would provide abundant material for the research scholars: Ram Bilas Sharma

Chandigarh, Dec 14 : Haryana Education and Tourism Minister, Mr Ram Bilas Sharma said that the Gita Gyan Sansthanam would provide abundant material for the research scholars regarding the holy scripture, Gita.

Mr Sharma after observing the exhibition organised at Gita Gyan Sansthan said that Srimad Bhagvad Gita is the pride of the nation. He appreciating the cave shaped exhibition depicting the teachings of the holy scripture, Gita. Apart from this, relevance of the sacred Gita in freedom struggle has also been depicted in this exhibition.

Gita Manishi Swami Gyanand ji Maharaj gave detailed information to the Minister regarding various projects at Gita Gyan Sansthanam and said that the research done on the sacred Gita throughout the world would be compiled in this institution so as to make it available for research scholars.  Besides this a huge museum and library of the holy scripture, Gita and Gita Gurukul would also be established at Gita Gyan Sansthanam, he added.
Chandigarh, December 14- Mauritius will adopt Indo-Israel Horticulture Project to increase its vegetable production and to provide its citizen’s off-season vegetables fresh all the time. For the purpose, Agriculture and Horticulture Officers of Mauritius will visit the Centre of Excellence for Vegetables at Gharaunda in Karnal.

This was disclosed by the Acting President of Mauritius, Mr. Paramasivum Pillay Vyapoory during his visit to Centre of Excellence for Vegetables at Gharaunda in district Karnal today.

During his visit, Mr Vyapoory took information about all horticulture techniques being used for vegetable production and went around the Centre to see the vegetables grown in Polyhouse and in fields. He said that the technique of Indo-Israel Project would also be adopted in Mauritius to provide its people off-season vegetables all the time and farmers could earn higher income at a low cost and also save on water.

He was informed that about one lakh farmers come to visit this centre every year, not only this Kisan Melas and seminars are organized from time to time for the awareness of farmers. Apart from this, farmers are also imparted training in the centre. To promote horticulture, the State Government is also giving grant, so far an amount of over Rs 53.25 crore has been made available to farmers.

He was informed that after getting information from the centre, the progressive farmers have set up about 10,000 poly houses in the state and some have even taken sapling from here and has increased their earnings with increased vegetable production.
