Kurukshetra: At the 34th North Zone Inter University Youth Festival held at Panjab University, Chandigarh on 27-31st December, 2018, the students of Kurukshetra University won overall trophies in theater and dance events. In the event, 36 universities participated. In Folk Orchestra, Skit and Classical Dance, the trams won the first position. In One Act Play, the team won second position and third position in the Folk Tribal Dance. Out of more than three dozen teams hailing from 7 States of North India – J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttrakhand, UP and Delhi participated in 25 different events. With it’s prize tally, KU bagged the overall trophies in theater and dance. Along with the teams, Dr Ashok Chaudhary, President KU Cultural Council, Prof Tejinder Sharma, Director Youth & Cultural Affairs and Dr Hitender Tyagi Dy Director DYCA received the awards.
VC Dr. Kailash Chandra Sharma congratulated the winning team and called upon for achieving excellence to win positions in the forthcoming national youth festival.
