NDRI received first rank agriculture university award

Karnal: National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI) has been ranked first among 72 agriculture universities of the country and four deemed agriculture universities, by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) New Delhi. Apart from this, Dr. S.K. Tomar, Principal Scientist, Dairy Microbiology division has been awarded Bharat Ratna Dr. S Subramaniam for outstanding teachers. Hari Om Ashram Trust Award to Dr. T.K. Datta, Dr. A Kumaresan, Dr. T.K. Mohanty and Dr. Savita Yadav, jointly and Mewa Singh awarded under cash award scheme for supporting category.

The award was received by Dr. RRB Singh, Director, NDRI, from Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shri Narendra Singh Tomar in New Delhi on the ICAR’s 91st foundation day programme.

Dr. RRB Singh said that it was a pride moment for the institute and its scientists. “The institute has achieved landmark success for developing several technologies.
